We encourage all association and club Member Protection Officers to attend this course, if they have not already done so, to gain a better understanding of Member Protection and to assist in providing a safer and more enjoyable sporting environment. ON-LINE CHILD PROTECTION TRAINING Through the efforts of the NSW Department of Sport & Recreation and the Australian Sports Federation an On-line Child Protection training course is now available for Peak Sporting organisations, Associations, Clubs, Coaches, Officials, Parents and players. The Courses are available at the Play By The Rules website: www.playbytherules.net.au Then select FREE On-line Training then select Child Protection - New South Wales These courses have been designed to help educate and assist the soccer community in creating a safer environment for children and young people involved in sport. The course helps Peak bodies, Clubs and Associations to understand and learn more about: Educating their staff and volunteers Complying with the requirements of the Working With Children Check Responding promptly to child protection issues Developing models of good sporting behaviour Making sport a safe and enjoyable environment for all participants.
